The application of M-M kinetics in pathway modeling did provide some new
insights or rediscover system properties.

so-called computational biology.

Hehe, R is provocative. What I meant to say is that statistics would not
the same without biology (eg RA Fisher)

computation in crystallography is closer to physics than to biology.
"computational biology" (including "system(s) biology" and "mathematics
biology") is indeed a broad and confusing term.
