This position is aimed to improve the capabilities of existing atmospheric
dispersion models to stimulate local and regional pollen and seed dispersion
, deposition, and outcrossing. Models will be converted to an online tool so
stakeholders can easily access and use.
Duties and Responsibilities: Measure and model plants atmospheric gene flow
, including pollen and seed release, dispersion, deposition and outcrossing.
Analyze measured data and model results, and prepare written material for
project reports, publications, and proposals.
Required Education and Experience: PhD in Atmospheric Sciences , Computer
Science, or related field. Experience in writing and/or publishing of
manuscripts, dispersion modeling, and programming. Prospective candidates
need to have a strong background in atmospheric dispersion modeling, as well
as extensive IT and programming skills.
Proposed start date: open until a suitable candidate is hired. Salary: is
commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment status: up to
