标 题: 老公j1 DS1029 9月到期（可续）,现帮我母亲弄b2，需要先续DS1209么

老公j1来美做薄厚，2010年9月开始；同随他以j2一起过来的。
今年2月怀孕，现在想让我母亲过来帮忙照顾，因此开始准备帮她申请b2签证，让她过
来个半年左右
但是老公的DS表好像是一年一给，因此到2011年8月31号就到期了。请问：以这样的情
况，影响我母亲的签证吗？是否
需要先去弄一下续表的事情？
另外，我可以以在申请的时候说只待一两个月，但是实际计划待半年么？

帮朋友急问，她没有mitbbs的ID
情况是这样， 她以b2签证来美国，现在想直接转成F1， 律师说可以办理，但是竟然说
这个f1签证期间不可以回国，跟一般在国内申请的f1签证不一样，这是为什么？

和签证类型没有关系，但是很多fellowship要求permanent residency。不用到了美国
申请吧，不是都网申的吗？注意有些fellowship规定Ph.D.毕业不超过一年的

一年的时间限制还是很严格的吧，还是有些fellowship没有这种限制的啊，life
science好像就没有的。没看到哪个fellowship对J1和H1还有不同对待的啊。。
