到目前入职差不多快一年了吧，我跟经理提过几次办绿卡的事情，经理说知道了需要找
时间跟CEO, CFO和HR一起商量，不过之后就没下文了。
目前的工作方向待遇地点什么的都挺满意，所以跳槽也有点舍不得。如果申请NIW的话
，又觉得等的太久。想问问大家有没有什么好的办法？谢谢！

我的律师当时在度假，后来我自己研究一下，发现485很容易（我认识的人有几个自己
递的，很顺利），就不麻烦律师了。

我的485公司报销，但我还是决定自己递了(加上律师在度假）。因为律师以前填的表里每次
都有错误，好在没影响最后批准。还不如我自己填呢，因为485实在没什么技术含量。

他是说自己不掏钱。不过有些律师真是白给也不能用。我的律师还算好的了，不过有时候
也有些拖。

Paper receipts 还是 e-notes? 一般check在收到e-notes之后1-2天cashed，然后再一周左右收到Paper receipts。

I believe she means "Paper receipts "
She also mentioned. "You should receive sets of receipt notices at your home
address too directly from USCIS, within the next several days. If you don
’t receive them by the end of the week let me know and I will send you my
set."

你在哪个州？递的哪个center？看来他们发receipt挺快的嘛。既然已经有receipt了，
就不用担心check了，因为即使check出问题，也只会收到补费账单，申请已经被接受了。

My lawyer's clarification.
Next item you should receive will be the fingerprinting (biometrics)
appointment notices. Biometrics appts vary, for awhile we were getting the
notices within a couple of weeks of the receipt notices, but lately seems it
’s been taking a couple of months.
The EAD must be issued within 90 days of receipt date, and the AP doc is now
combined with the EAD so 1 card will be both EAD and AP, so you should
receive that by early February.
Then just wait for the I-485 to be approved (I’ve had a few cases where the
I-485 got approved BEFORE the EAD/AP got issued, but that’s pretty rare
and especially with the significant progress in cutoff dates lately, I
suspect USCIS will not be processing cases as quickly as they could when the
dates were standing still for months at a time)
6 months is probably about average for I-485 approval right now.
Rarely, a case will be forwarded to the local USCIS office for interview,
usually only when there’s some issue that we are already aware of (criminal
charge or immigration problem in the past), but sometimes for no apparent
reason or because they were unable to get clear fingerprints, or some other
trivial issue.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to know what the average processing time will
be for cases filed now, only for cases that were filed 6 months ago! And
USCIS has been notorious for wide fluctuations in processing times, over the
years….

你的律师挺不错，第一天申请寄到还提供指导。很多律师只有收钱的时候积极。

这种问题要问你的律师，网上有帖子说AP没批的离境就会使AP自动失效。但是我的律师
说没问题。

一般情况下AP没批就离境会使485视为放弃，只有H和L签证的人可以有例外的可能。基
本上如果不是有十万火急的事情，最好等AP批了再离境，大约2个月会批。
BTW，很多律师水平一般，出了问题他们是不负责的。

我添乱子。希望公司的并购计划不要那么快完成。

USCIS那个倒霉的MEMO是说要交个Amended 140的。不过，合并谈妥后，还应该至少1-2
个月Tax ID和Payroll才会变，希望不用折腾140了。看上去排期未来几个月不会倒退
太多，希望绿卡赶紧下来吧。

The problem is that I never had a real place to stay before I came to the US
. Can I use my partents' address? Does this really matter? Thanks a lot.

我出国前一直和父母住一起。你当初来美签证填申请表用的哪个地址？觉得这个地址就
是尽量真实就行吧。

Thanks. I don't remember what I used when I applied for my F-1 visa back
then. It was a long long time ago. :( Is it ok if I use my parents' address
even if I was not at home most of the time? Thanks again.

有意思的是只有5封信，缺了主申请人的I-131，到也无所谓
副申请人的PD写成了11月3日
这个昵称是去年夏天最郁闷的时候改的，希望这次快点拿到，LD还等着回国呢

看来公司律师帮我们决定晚交几天，做把好人好事，:) No big deal.
两个简单问题：
1）你们都是律师受到receipt，再告诉你们是吧？我们怎么是我们自己收到的呢？
2）我们每人填了三个表(485, 131, 765)，但为什么每人只收到一个I-797C。应该每人
收到三个收据，是吗？
By the way, the PD on the my receipt is Nov 07, 2011, not planning to do
anything.

My PD is my old one (10/11/2007) but my dependents' PD are NOV 11, 2011. I
asked lawyer and it is ok.

Lawyer only told me one for each person, but I got 3 physical receipts sent
to my home for each adult and 2 for each child

Looks like my case is similar to credit1's. I just got text messages from
USCIS -- what a pleasant surprise! Checked my status: "card/document
production" for 765, and "post-decision activity" for 131 ("approval notice
sent"). Guess the 765 is the combo card. Still no update for 485 and no FP
notice (the 2nd tier officer said I am in the queue but no appt has been
scheduled). Weird, but at least I am getting something, finally.

I received the ead card, which did mention"serve as AP". The valid period is
1 year.
My online status for AP still not change. Wondering if it is same for other
people. Should I do a SR to let them change the status? Just don't know if
this will impact 485's approval if they see it is still pending.
By the way, still has no FP yet. Don't know what happened.
