Possibly ... In principle, the battery life issue is related to both
hardware and software design.
I guess Samsung and other major phone makers should have no fewer
expertises than Apple on this issue. Mostly it is related to RF design.
On the AP part, Samsung Hummingbird should be very close to Apple A4. I
guess they use the same original design. In terms of software part, I
guess the configuration of mobile OS does make difference ... say how to
handle multi-thread/application in the background, how to do
push and notification ...
Basically my feeling is there should be no fundamental difference between
these two camps, except the different trade-offs each company is looking
at ...
