I am still far from finishing this book, and there're surely many good
things I will talk about it later.
Here's one minor criticism on the understanding of "science" that the
authors think though.
=================================================================
He assumed that the scientific view of mind should be a like centralized
conductor to the symphony, but the Buddhist view of the mind is different
that the mind is never an entity. But no, that's not even how science
pictured it. There are centralized processing, and also distributed
processing. Distributed processing is also studied in science, and the
inspiration of such science is the Nature, the Rule of everything.
Many scientists are mimicking what the Nature is doing and they could
achieve lots of inspirations to put them into applications. I'd recommend a
book " Emergence: The Connected Lives of Ants, Brains, Cities, and Software"
by Steven Johnson. It's a good explanation how the world runs on swarm
based interaction, rather than by a centralized design.
I haven't read the book enough to know whether this book mentions it or
knows it, but human brains are very adaptive, and that's affirmed again and
again in experiments. Some experiments are like this: when certain area of
the brain is identified as related to, say, vision, smell, or taste, if that
brain area is damaged, another part of the brain will learn to acquire the
same functionality to enable vision, smell or taste. Mind does not happen as
fixed with certain biological structure, but there's a holistic connection
between mind and body.
My point is that science is ever evolving, what science describes is part of
the Rule, on how it's operated. All experiences have biological and
physical basis, and what once unknown may become known. For instance, I once
posted about the hormones and MRI results that scientists discovered for
people in love, such as Hellen Fisher's work, and their discoveries are
amazing to illustrate how this process is happening with the changes in
human bodies. But this understanding on this physical process does not
negate or replace the experiences themselves. As Hellen Fisher puts it, "You
can know every single ingredient in a piece of chocolate cake and still sit
down and eat that chocolate cake and feel that rush of joy."

not true.

A notion in this book is that emptyness shows the unlimited possibilities, including thoughts, and that's how The Work could help people assimilate the turn-around thoughts as an entry-point into this physical world after checking the original though
hich were believed to be true, but not true, or not the only thought to be true.

en, for this I have some objection. It's not only hard, if not impossible,
but also unnecessary for one to hide.
I am for radical honesty and non-violent communications, and speaking our
minds are much easier to all parties involved. Once the thoughts are taken
out (typed down here or spoken in our daily life), they are subject to the
light (the Love), and if they are not true, they vanish automatically. Un-
investigated thoughts, especially the stressful or hurtful ones, are
powerful in their damage.
