我遇到的比较senior的国人，还是很照顾同胞的，倒是刚开始工作的一些
junior对新人比较抗拒，a3有些也还不错，但是关键时刻还是希望同胞靠得住不是。
俺觉得在美国工作得够久的人，慢慢都会体会到华人团结的重要性。根据个人接触的同
胞，尤其是哪些40岁以上的，孩子在美国念到高中以上的男同胞们，对此都有深刻的体会。

company sent out any reminder. I didn't realize it until today I received an
email from our tax office noticing me that my H1 expired.
I still got paycheck after 12/14. Should I return it?
My attorney is in a meeting.....desperately waiting for her response.

NO!!! You earned it! It's yours!
There is an option called "Reinstate" when a person is still in US after
visa expires.
Since 911, US got very harsh on non-immigrants overstaying their visa. I
don't know if it is still true.
But don't panic. I doubt CIS would send someone over to deport you.
The worst scenario is that you have to pack up now and go through the visa
process back in China again.

就烦这种碰上一个事就无限放大的。我在职场上碰上过的老中都是互相帮助的。包括我
自己现在也招人，我是hiring manager. 我就想方设法找自己人。我同意以后还要和HR
斗智斗勇解释H1B的问题。上一个招进来的老中我几乎和HR撕破脸为了给他多争取一万块
薪水。
我倒是也有面试还没完就决定得据掉的，都是因为面试的态度太差。时时处处喜欢指出‘you
system is a piece of junk'. 我招人是和我一起干活的，不是找人给我自己添堵的，也不
是找个大爷捧着哄着的。我组里人出活，气氛融洽，才是我的成功。面试就发现话不投机的
话，得据。
面试也是我的时间，加上看简历，之后写报告告诉HR要不要继续，都是活。面试的人跟
你一个candidate无怨无仇，没事折腾你干嘛。真闲着没事我还泡BBS呢。没人会叫HR
约人来耍着玩。你要是碰上了一回，运气不好，move on. 要是觉得自己老碰上莫名其妙的
面试，应该从自己身上找找原因。

Did your friend get green card eventually? I'm a little worried about the
gap in which I am "out of status". It may cause problems when applying for
GC.

可实际上呢，有好多国人同胞过不了技术关呀。
最近几年面试好多， 如果一看名字向中国人，我总是宽容一些。实话实说，我电话面
试的一个基本原则是这个candidate能否通过onsite面试。有不少candidate,根本不可
能通过onsite面试，我盲目推荐他通过我的电话面试又有什么意义呢？
比如有一个candidate,问题回答的不好，我让他这个小程序，如果coding很好，我也可
以替他说好话，一般一个小时的面试，他拖了一小时20分，还是没写完。我只好让给他
20分钟，写完email给我。 结果过了30多分钟才发给我。 可是他的code,只有两个
class，要求解决的算法问题根本就没有写。
我唯一可做的也就是No Hire.
一般如果只是边缘的情况，在yes和no之间摇摆，我就倾向于yes.
我只是从另外一个对立面来讨论这个问题，如果你面试很糟糕，谁也帮不了你。

不太同意你的观点。我面试过国人也被国人面试过。感觉是只要条件不太差，中国人之
间大多相互照顾。最近一次面试完，两个国人面官直接说会给我，结果确实如此。一个
老印处处刁难。
