RT, 公司三周前给了offer letter，我也及时签字接受递交了回去。看到offer letter
上说your offer will become contingent after positive background check
feedback，然而现在已过去两周多了，和公司约定的starting date也快到了，但还没
有任何关于背景调查的答复，是不是就‘默认’调查通过，可以到时候直接去公司报到
了？还是最好给HM发信问问？

This is standard procedure. They give you an official offer. You accept it.
Then the company initiates the background check and drug test. If you pass
all the tests, then everything will be OK; otherwise, they can take back the
offer.

Thanks for your suggestion. What if the default starting work date is the
Monday after next week, and I didn't hear back from them further after I
accepted and signed the offer letter 3 wks ago? Is that means I passed all
tests? I asked the HM and he replies "Looks like everything is in place."
Does it stand for good news, and I can come to work at the first day of
employment?
