Job Description

looking to add more top-tier engineers to our growing presence in the Empire
State Building.
We're proud of our distributed Java applications capable of serving billions
of page views to millions of LinkedIn members across browsers, iPads and
mobile devices.
You’ll be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and
supporting the most visible Internet-scale features and infrastructure at
LinkedIn. We have openings for roles involving working at all levels of the
stack, from the data layer (Oracle, MySQL, Voldemort and other noSQL
databases, Hadoop, Memcached), to the distributed service layer (REST, RPC),
all the way to the front-end presentation tier (Node.js, Play framework).
Desired Skills & Experience
It goes without saying that you are a computer science champion with
competence in data structures, algorithms and software design, and strong
coding ability in Java.
• You have experience working with browser-side technologies,
server-side web application servers, and database storage systems (
relational or NoSQL).
• You know how to develop multi-tier scalable and reliable
applications that operate 24x7.
• You thrive in a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative and
iterative programming environment.
• You meet your commitments on time and produce high quality
software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for
continuous integration.
• You have excellent communication skills, initiative and teamwork.
• Domain expertise in an area relevant to LinkedIn, such as social
networking platforms, large scale advertising systems, email and
communication systems, user generated content systems, internet mail
protocols or any other relevant internet applications is definitely a plus.
• Lastly, you have a BS, MS. PhD in Computer Science or related
discipline.
