So last night on my way home after working this shitty gigs, i saw this
pretty girl squatting on the floor at the train station looking very down. I
wanted to say something but then I saw she's well dressed, got a nice bag
and a fancy iPhone, as oppose to my broken pants, dirty sneaker and a old
ass phone. so I don't think she's homeless or whatever, and who am I to
comfort pple anyway, being a loser like me.
Anyway, i went along and go to this vending machine and bought myself a "
grandma recipe" cookie or something, and then as I was chewin my cookies, I
saw this lady I don't know who kinda went by and check on the girl, I think
she probably ask her r u ok or whatnot, as I wanted to ask, and then this
pretty girl just lost herself and started tearing like hell, and this lady
then went on grab her hands and hug her and whatnot, don't think this lady
know this girl. Anyway, I feel kinda bad, and then I figure all I can do
maybe to buy the girl some cookie and a water, as I figured she probably
wasn't in no mood to eat for a while, so I went to the vending machine and
bought another bag of grandma receipt cookie and then a dasani. And then I
went over to wherever the girl was, that lady was gone, but the girl was
standing now, still wiping her tears, but at least in standing position.
It takes a hell of courage for me to hand her the water and them cookies,
but hand her I did, and I believe I did finally ask her r u ok, and I think
she say yes, and smilingly she rejected my cookies and water, but then I say
u will need it, and then she finally took it and say thank u, I don't
want her to feel like I am a bad guy with bad motive, so I walked away
immediately and say everything will be fine (shld've said life has it's ups
and downs, but everything will be fine), well, anyway, hope she don't think
I'm a weirdo.
I guess everyone's got a story, hope she's fine and enjoy that grandma
recipe cookie, it was pretty good cookie and the bad got a friendly smiling
grandma's face on it. Hope that get her to the sunny side.

我好像从陌生人那里拿过东西吃……
我容易晕车。记得小时候有一次和我妈坐长途汽车出去玩，车上挤得不得了；我说我晕
车，我边上那个人给了我一粒晕海宁，我就吃下去了。我妈后来告诉我说她担心了一路
，怕那个人给我吃的是蒙汗药之类；当然最后是没事的。
ps我觉得LZ做的事情很可爱。而且他这样直接从购物机里拿出来的东西应该没问题吧。

Let's get something clear. I ain't no good person. Tho I probably
ain't bad. I only have good heart when it is convenient, and when it
takes effort, I remain selfish most of the time.
As with not to take food from strangers, I think it's always good to
remind ur kids when they are young.
But of course, the cookie bag and water bottle were not open, and it's
obvious vending machine type stuff, I think she can trust me, and she's
not little kid, she's like 20 years old. But still true, don't take
food offered by stranger, let ur kid know that.

And I will just chew my cookies and look away. But judging from the way she
cried, and the fact she was squatting on the platform, there was at least
some chance she do something stupid. Thumbs up for the lady, who care to ask
and talk to her for couple minutes and got her to stand up. U know,
sometime u just need to cry out loud. As with me, I was only gettin soy
sauce

嗯，我也是这么想的。萝卜应该死皮赖脸地“关心”那个女孩。那女孩说不定会很感动
，然后就和萝卜那啥了。
最不济，那个女孩看出萝卜不怀好意，想方设法逃出了萝卜的魔爪。那样她的注意力也
被转移了，不会再专注在那件伤心事上。说不定因为拒绝了萝卜，还恢复了自信心，从
此对男人进行疯狂的报复。。。。

可能在纽约大城市，主动招呼陌生人的不多。在我们小地方挺常见，我被陌生人帮过也
帮过陌生人。不过话说我在国内也不怕生，出门玩时经常搭讪吃住。遇到过少数不太好
的陌生人，绝大多数都很乐意交朋友或提供帮助……

Ya, nyc sucks, everybody minding there own biz. Suburb ny is somewhat better
, pple is not as tense, but still not really friendly. At times, the
joint I'm working at will see folks from the south, like Alabama and South
Carolina and whatnot, and u can really see a different, much more lay back
and much more friendly.

我们办公室的南方同事说新英格兰sucks，人都冷漠自私。说南方人热情。不过他还是
来北方工作，原因就是上次我在harper lee那本新书的读后感里提到的，哈哈。

对了，有个讲南方女人和风气的老电影《Steel Magnolia》挺酷的。是以前一个叫波哥
