接了一个contract的position,签了offer letter,不过是at will的。 同一组后来有
了正式的position让我下周去面试。recruiter这边还一直催着要我交办H1b premier的
钱,态度也不是很好。现在想着要背水一战,想要把contract的这个拒了。不知道会不
会有什么不好,毕竟一些paper work也签了,他们手里也有我的一些document copy。

最近有些学生挨家挨户推销Southwestern advantage books,
主要是各年级教参,各种辅导,比如数学有各种例题一步步教怎么解答,
帮助学生容易完成作业。
一套4本,每本4科目要420.
上网查了一下,确实有个公司,还专门是给学生打工用,先批发给学生,然后学生推销。

My company submitted regular I-140 5/31, got receipt, then submitted PP 6/13
. USCIS first show the case in initial review for pp on 6/18, then changed
to acceptance w/o pp o 6/19, then today 6/21 I got "PP stopped". Anyone know
what could happened? Is it approval, ref, or noid?

On June 21, 2013, the 15-day Premium Processing clock stopped on your I140,
IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER. A notice was sent on this date
explaining the specific reason for stopping the premium processing of your
case. This notice will contain detailed information on further action
required by you. Your premium processing receipt notice contains contact
information for direct inquiries on your case.
During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/
petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during
an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional
information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's
criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that
need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud
indicators.
If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765
, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an
Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs
taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of
applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to
schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you
will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your
application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days
ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this
appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment
be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the
processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your
appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive
an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have
your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed
above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more
than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

We signed contract with a local company last october for windows and siding
installation. We put 60% deposit. We are in CT. Due to the heavy snow last
winter, the company delayed window installatin until this Febuary after I
pushed them several times. Now they said the siding will installed until
later May. How can I push them to instal siding earlier? Some area of the
old siding already exposed to air, I do not want the water into the wall
during the rain season.
Looking for a lawyer to ask money back? Fine for delay? Compensation for
damage?

不想去直说你不去了就是。法律规定不能force你工作。
不过想拒了contract去正式的几乎是不可能的,公司跟recruiter一般有协议,一年半
年内不能从他们手里挖人。

谢谢回复。contract我看了,第一条是说工作是at will的,而且agreement does not
go into effect until you acturally work on said specific assignment.我还没有
开始这个工作,那不是contract没有生效。后面restrictive convent里是说结束这个
工作180天以内不能在client公司工作。不过最后有一句:in the event that, (
client) extends an offer of direct employment, this restrictive covenant
will be waived.没什么经验,不知道自己理解的对不对,大家给看看吧。谢谢

是同一个组的工作,面了contract的之后又有了一个permanent的opening,HM想通过
recruiter问我要不要再去面,recruiter没告诉我。我自己后来看到这个position就联
系了HM,又给了正式的面试。不知道HM那边知不知道我签了contract的offer,因为
recruiter这边H1B还没开始办,大公司HR效率又低。不懂他们这里面是怎么运作的,现
在非常乱。大家给点建议

你可以从这几个方面考虑
1. contract跟permanent区别有多大?一般都是福利不同,工作恐怕都是at will的,
打听清楚到底有什么不一样。别管Title好不好听
2. 如果contract最后飞了,你有没有所谓?不在乎的话就去面试吧。有所谓就别冒险
。二鸟在林不如一鸟在手。
3。对大公司来讲,安排你面试跟安排你上班离得太远。比如要层层审批,要headcount
,要看第几季度的业绩等等。如果要三个月后才能上班,你的身份和经济情况能不能等
得起?
这几个问题考虑明白了,你就知道该怎么做了。recruiter会不会不高兴对你一点都不
重要。

谢谢回复。这个组我很喜欢,做的东西也很match,我面contract的时候感觉也不错,
所以有了permanent的opening还是很高兴的。中间以为不能办H1B,HM去找HR问了说也
不是不能办。contract和permanent的工作工资福利都差不少,而且没有promotion没有
发展机会。我现在身份和经济上都没什么问题,也做好了contract的工作黄了的准备,
只是不知道recruiter那边会不会影响到我permanent的面试,毕竟他们也和公司HR有些
联系。

再问问,楼上我理解的contract里写的没有问题吧,觉得自己英文都看不懂了。

从你的contract里看来,公司给你offer没法律问题。
但是这是你的contract,公司跟recruiter的合同里有没有说凡是他介绍来的人公司不
能direct hire,那你就不知道了。
这个你也没法弄明白。
我个人觉得呢,面试的时候没必要主动提你已经签了合同,人家问到也不要回避就是啦
。既然工资福利差不少,从合同转正式的尝试大家都会理解。只是要堂堂正正的,不要
猥琐就好了。什么不接电话,不给材料,不回email这样的招数就不体面。直接说我
look for a sustainable career,而正式职位help me get to my goals faster。
不用说把contract据了,可以委婉点,说我要尝试申请这个正式的职位,要是将来没
work out的话,you are welcome to call me~~~

谢谢指点。之前就是想拖一拖,可能做得也不太好。现在recruiter那边搞的挺僵的,
打算直接email他我有其他的opportunity, 现在不能proceed,以后可以再联系,不知
道行不行。之前公司通过他们问我想不想去面permanent的,他们根本就没告诉我,估
计是怕我去了permanent的他们没钱赚。所以现在我也不想告诉他们我在面同一个组的
,只想说有其他机会,不想多生枝节,不知道这么办行不行。
非常谢谢楼上给的指点,哎没经验啊,找工作又找的头大,自己实在看不透了,别人给点拨一下还挺有用的

给recruiter发了email,说现在不想proceed with this application,would like to
consider other opportunities。希望他不要在骚扰我了,那人每次想机关枪一样,和
他打电话总是极大的影响我的心情 :(
