09/19xx, I was sitting in the classroom of PUMC for the 1st time, waiting
for the English placement test to start. She walked in with another girl,

this is true for any people, not only for chinese. but, the only thing to do
is to make friends with these people and make yourself better.
I would be in hell if my friends are all losers.

From that day on, she was the one I kept eying in classes. Since I am not a
very out-going person, I could not approach her directly like her other
suitors. --That is right, it seemed not only I had an eye on her. They even
saved good seats for her and her friend in Biochemistry class! How smart and
college-like (looking back, it's strange I never even did that in college).
