Cellphone is close to die. Want to get a iphone 6 next month or during
thanksgving. It is worthwhile to stock some Bestbuy GCs now ? Then I have to
buy the cellphone through Bestbuy. Any better idea?

I don't think there will be discount for iphones, but they will probably
give out store GCs from last years' experience. Hard to price-match right?
Hopefully Bestbuy will have good offers.

Another thing to consider is the purchase protection from AMEX. They only
provide purchase protection for the amount charged to the credit card.

$50 off for a contract phone at Bestbuy through the end of 2014.
I signed up this offer earlier this year, don't know if it still alive.
Bestbuy sends me notification every other month....
