我一位好朋友昨日生了宝宝，真为她高兴。
这是home birth after 3 cesareans. 她前三次剖都是医生说了剖就剖，但这次第四次
怀孕时她自己学了许多生育知识，于是意识到可能以前的剖都是不必要的。于是找了
independent midwife，打算home birth.
不过怀孕时尤其后期她也时时会不自觉地恐慌，怀疑自己是否真的能生产。昨日一切顺
利，她说她感到了前所未有的自豪和骄傲，这是她第一次真正成为母亲，这是她第一次
生育。
真为她激动。

Congratulations to her HBA3C. I also had a home birth after cesarean several
months ago. Things are very different. Even if a planned home birth ends up
with a transfer and another cesarean, we are more convinced that it is
necessary and we feel that we are making our own decisions.

想问问home birth的话卫生工作怎么办？垫在身下的垫子、给宝宝清理洗澡用的东西是
自己准备还是midwife带来啊？

You may express this kind of concern to your midwife. Some people prefer
home birth, while some prefer hospital birth. You weigh the pro and con by
yourself and make your own decision.

Talk to individual midwife and you will be clear what she and her staff will
take and what she suggests you prepare.

主要问题还是出了紧急状况的时候怎么办吧。比如胎儿心跳骤降，
母亲大出血这些

she is Chinese and she grew up in China.
No one asks you to do this and no one asks you to encourage others to do
this. It is an individual decision.
We respect individual preference of hospital birth, and we expect others to respect our choice of home birth.

Hospital births have their own risks too. Many emergency conditions are
brought by medical interventions actually.
Different people can have different opinions. HBAC is still a controversial issue.

我朋友的儿子，生下来脐带绕颈好几圈，有窒息，马上抢救，在保温箱
住了半个月就好了。现在小孩很聪明健康。不知道在家生产万一遇见
这种情况，有什么应对方法。

We can reduce many risks caused by unnecessary medical interventions by
staying home. It is possible that hospital birth might have great advantages
in abnormal deliveries. But the majority deliveries are normal ones that
should not be viewed as a disease, so no treatment is necessary in most
deliveries. Unnecessary medical interventions are powerful in turning normal
deliveries into abnormal deliveries.
People who plan a home birth know that there is advantage and disadvantage.
While they do prepare for hospital transfer in case if something abnormal
happens, they are ready to face whatever outcomes before they make their
decision.
Hospital births are not always safer than home births.

如果医生医院只治病就好了，可他们经常治不病，给不需要的人用药动刀，这自然让人
不放心了。毕竟我们自己是最在乎母子健康结果的，不可能有医生比我们更在意我们自
己。如果医生只做好事，不毁损我们，我们也不至于这么恐惧医院。
去医院生小孩可能受益，也可能被医院整惨了，个人看法不一样所以取舍不同。
