准妈一枚,刚读了Baby Bargins,总结了写要点跟jms分享~
1.Crib: check/tight screws every month;(刚开始这部分没做笔记,只记得这一条
了。。。)
2.Bedding(pp.131-132):
•Make sure the crib sheets snugly fit the mattress; shrink issue;
sheets with all around elastic. Be sure to wash it several times
according to the directions and see if it correctly fits your crib. If
not, return it to the store.
•No soft bedding in the crib. Put your infant on her back when she
sleeps; don’t put pillows, comforters or other soft bedding or toys
inside a crib (pp132).
•Safest: avoid using any blankets in a crib and put baby in a blanket
sleeper and t-shirt for warmth. If using blanket, it should only come up
to baby’s chest.
•No more than TWO layers on top of a mattress, one sheet over a water-
proof liner enough.
•Do not recommend crib bumpers, risk factor for suffocation.
•Never use: sleep positioners; electric blanket; blankets with nylon
thread (pp136);
•Don’t buy: diaper stacker; pillows; sets of linens; canopies; all-white
linens.
•Wall decals: wallnutz.com; whatisblik.com; wall-pops.com; wallies.com
; michaels.com (pp138); crimage.com.
•Brand: California Kids; Carousel; Cotton Tale; Sumersault, Sweet Kyla
; Nava’s.
•Sites; babycatalog.com; babysupermall.com; diapers.com; overstock
•Overall: Pottery Barn cotton fitted sheets (two) $38; sleep sack (
instead of a blanket) $20; Miscellaneous (lamp, other decor) $100
3.Diapers:
•100 newborn diapers + 500 size 1 for the first 6 weeks for average
baby (7lbs at birth), ~2300 in the first year;
•maybe good to stock one package of high-quality, flat-fold cloth
diapers.
•Average potty train age: girl 35 mo; boy 39 mo.
•Wipes: top pick: huggies natural care
•Diapers: BRU’s supreme diapers, huggies, luvs, pampers,
