redfin上面有写9分10分什么的。可是我查API report,
发现高中的分数挺奇怪啊：
API 866， 10分
API 864， 9分
API 836， 9分
API 850， 8分
API 842， 8分
这种综合分数除了API以外还有别的factor吗?
我看有人说学校9.1， 8.4什么的。这种带小数点后一位的分数哪里查的？

据我在欧洲的同学说那边华为和中兴搞的很猛什么地铁灯箱户外广告到处是huawei和
zte
美国这边好像没什么动静

Personally, I would not care 9.1 or 8.4.
API is a good indicator of academic performance and is officially tabulated
every year.
API of high school is the final factor to determine a good school district
which affects housing price too. Elementary school's API is misleading. For
example, Chino Hills would not be considered as a good school district in
terms of Chinese parents' perspectives but the elementary schools' APIs are
high too. This is consistent with housing price as well.
The best high school's API would be above 900 in Chinese-populated area. 860
+ to 900 would be considered second level. I use this way to do my own
categorization and judge other high schools in the areas populated by non-
Asian ethnicity.
When choosing schools, I definitely think the ethnicity diversity is a good
factor. So I do think Walnut and South PA is better than Arcadia although
Arcadia High have higher API. I think this is more important when choosing
elementary school. It is good to have kids appreciate different culture.
But a lot of things will determine where we should live. Otherwise, living
in Arizona might be the first choice for us. And a good teacher might teach
in bad school too.
