landline好处：目前家里有两个cell phone,房子是两层，如果一人在家没有随身带手
机，在外的另一个可以打座机联系。而且nationwide打电话 free and unlimited.
wireless:landline没有wireless可靠，wireless只需买个设备和$9/month service
fee。但只能用于security system,没有座机的功能。
大家是选择哪种？
另外买两层的single house，landline是不是必须的? 还是cellphone就可以应付了。
买房子后，觉得开销大大增加了 :-(

landline is too old now. Get rid of landline.

you got to get a sim card (e.g. ATT additional line costs $9) and put it in
the security equipment to connect your home with the security company.
Additionally, you have to pay monthly fee for your security system.

what security system are you using? How much?
I am searching a security system as well right now, I am comparing between
safemart ($29.95/month for interactive), and frontpoint($42.99 a month for
interactive). You can just your own cell phone, no additional lines.

我们申请了comcast internet+phone, 但今天拿盒子的时候被告知landline和internet
共用一个modem,那么断电就是个问题了，而且每月还addtional charge $7 for
renting the modem. 正在犹豫要不要landline。

We are using a local company referred by the previous owner of the house. $

Wireless module or landline used by security system is only to call
monitoring station.
You can set up 3 numbers (in order)for monitoring station to call you, no
matter it is landline or wireless number.
