for in chip pixel binning to be better than merging RAW pixel digital
signals in post processing, the binning must happen on analog level.
That is: you add up the analog signal first, then amplify and digitize so
the analog signal is strong and the noises in amplier and digitizer circuits
are only introduced once on the summed signal.
If you merely add up the already digitized signal, then it already contains
the circuit noised from each of the pixels and it can be done equally well
with a RAW file in post processing.
but because digitization is done "in pixel" in CMOS chips, analog binning
across pixels is much more complicated to implement than in a CCD chip where
the analog signal is shipped off chip for processing. you d have to
implement additional circuits to send the analog charge from several pixels
(not necessarily neighbors due to the Bayer pattern) to one shared amplifier
possibly in one of the pixels in the group.
So I m not sure how quick the 135/APS camaras would adopt this technology.

那就用CCD咯,645D的那块40MP的sensor不就是CCD的,高感也挺不错,再高4倍那就更
