Most browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome) are now color-managed?
I use smugmug which automatically convert all photos to sRBG, flickr will
keep files as is.
Other than web publishing/printing, any reason to convert to sRGB?

chrome may have some problems

Interesting topic. My question is, do you ever use the theoretical extra
color space (of Adobe RGB)? If so, under what circumstances?

I don't. I just ****ed up when switched from CS5 to 6 a year ago, all my
JPGs were saved in Adobe color space. The ones uploaded to smugmug were
converted by them to sRGB but all flickr were Adobe RGB. It was a stupid
mistake.

from what i recall, chome used to be poorly color managed and have
compatibility issues with srgb. but i heard somewhere that they fixed that
some time ago?
with most images with normal color variation and depth, the difference is
hard to detect across browsers. if you are a pro that does printing, it's of
course a different story.

thanks A p. I have been using only Chrome on apple machines. Seems fine. Too
lazy to correct the files now but from now on, will save in sRBG.
I have never printed anything. Seems something completely different need to
be learned?

the general rule for amateur photographers is to save everything in srgb.
also heard chrome on apple is better color managed on pc.

myself.
