Title: Test Engineer / Lab Manager
Job Description:
This is an opening for a test engineering and lab management position in the
semiconductor modeling group. The modeling group performs high-precision
RF/Microwave measurements of wafers, die, and fixtured parts at frequencies
ranging from 10 MHz to 50 GHz – much of the measurement is performed in an
on-wafer/on-die environment. The position does not require any direct
supervisory responsibilities, though the individual must be able to work
well in a team environment, and will be managing the day-to-day workload of
the lab.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Development of test software for RF/Microwave testing
- Integration of hardware and software into highly-automated configurable
test setups
- Development of test plans for standard and customized testing requests
- Management of the work queue for the lab, including resource allocation
, scheduling, and work request planning
- Test data summary and analysis
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with 3+ years relevant test
lab experience
- Detailed understanding of small-scale software development and
deployment
- C/C++ and Python (other languages also useful)
- Use of RF/Microwave test equipment, including PNAs, spectrum analyzers,
signal generators, power meters, couplers, combiners, filters, and switches
- Knowledgeable in “standard” RF/Microwave testing, especially S-
parameters, IP3, noise, and power testing
- Basic (university-level) understanding of semiconductor physics
Desired Experience:
- On-wafer/on-die testing environments
- Pulsed S-parameter and pulsed power testing
- Linux
- Databases
- Semiconductor modeling
- Load pull measurements (Maury ATS)
- Precision calibration techniques, including TRL, LRM, LRRM, and SOLT
- Resource planning and scheduling experience
