Whilst the amp carrying capacity (1.4amps) of a single individual conductor
in the prefabricated cable is greater than the total amps being drawn on the
circuits that that conductor was feeding, the fuses being used on each
circuit meant that under fault conditions the current carrying capacity of
the conductor might be exceeded. This was because the fuse rating on each
circuit was too high.
