His success in application is almost a certainty based on three factors:
1. Summa Cum Laude from a decent university in US;
2. Decent LSAT score;
3. President of the CGSA.
I believe the last one is the most critical factor in his getting the
scholarship from UMich.
It's irrefutable that he is pretty good. On the other hand, he likely
benefited from sources to which most people don't have access as to how to
walk this path. A perspicacious pointer at the right time makes all the
difference.

u still have good chance even if u don't have these
if u check out the blog carefully, he has a classmate with
undergraduate from china
decent LSAT score
still got into columbia

He was saying those 3 factors led to littlenorth's so successful application-7
acceptance and 5 waiting list/deferal from the top 12. He didn't say someone
had to have all 3 to get into a top law school. Your example was in agreement
with factor 2 and didn't contradict what he said at all.

did i try to disagree with his post?
the only point i want to make is that: for those of us didn't have
undergraduate here, there is still good chance making into a top 10 law
school, as long as you work hard.

You are right. Actually if you just score a 170+ LSAT, you will have a very
good chance getting into a top10 law school. Although the situation may change
for Chinese students, I guess.
But getting a scholarship like that of littlenorth is wholly another matter.
