credit union is non-profit organizations. they don't
make money. all money earned go back to members except
opertational costs.
typically they have slightly higher interest on your
money deposited and slightly lower interest on loans,
plus may charge less on fees etc. however, it depends
on many factors, small CU may not show benefits.

they are not. but most of them are insured through
NCUA, also a federal agency, to the same amount
of FDIC, $100,000.

credit union是客户集资的，也就是说，你是client,也是股东之一,credit union并不
对所有的人都开放，比如汽车工人credit union就只能允许汽车工人开户，但bank不是
，client基本不是bank的股东。
