Research Scientist
Washington DC Metro area
Perform research and development in the areas of image/video analysis and
search, object recognition, event detection, automatic calibration, geo-
registration and thin/fat client or mobile solutions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Develop advanced computer vision and image/video analysis algorithms.
Write government grant proposals and fulfill government project.
Write research proposals.
Coordinate research efforts internally and externally with research,
government and business partners.
Perform research and development on research grants and internal research
and development.
Evaluate proposal topics of government agencies including Small Business
Innovation Research (SBIR), Small Business Technology Transfers (STTR) and
Broad Area Announcements (BAA.)
Review journal and conference paper submissions by researchers and attend
conferences in the field of Computer Vision.
Preparation and presentation of multi-media demonstrations to illustrate
progress on the pursued research efforts.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics,
related field or equivalent experience.
Solid research background and 4+ years of experience in computer vision,
image/video search, surveillance technologies, image/video analysis
algorithms.
Current knowledge of research literature in Computer Vision with a history
of publication in the field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
