Department Description:
The Applications & Analytics Architecture team within Motorola Solutions’
Chief Technology Office performs research and development on video, audio,
and data analysis algorithms, applications, and services, to develop next-
generation public safety and enterprise solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for research and implementation of video and image analysis
algorithms and applications as part of the video analytics R&D team.
Specifically, the intern will study and experiment on state-of-the-art
feature descriptors and efficient matching algorithms, and their
applications in object recognition and visual search systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
Electrical Engineering. Currently enrolled as a Masters or Ph.D. student.
Graduation date must occur on or after September 1, 2012.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
• Familiarity with computer vision and machine learning is required.
• Programming experience in C++ and Matlab is required.
• Experience in object recognition or visual search is a plus.
• Experience using OpenCV for computer vision and video/image
analysis algorithm development is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, creativity,
productivity, and learning agility are required.
