Oh. you mean the I-797A form? there is an I-94 number there... valid until
2012, same number as my old student I-94. so I think I am fine.

你的I94就是应该是你护照上的小白条，上面写的截至日期应该和你被批准的H1B的截至
日期一致。
我的情况是，我护照今年5月中过期，我的H1B是申请到今年的9月30日。结果我前年入
境的时候I94就写到和我护照过期时间一致。所以我就只能前段时间办了新护照，然后
需要在FILE 一下，延期到我H1B本该到期的日子。

yes, i transferred my status in us from F-1 to H1B and then i traveled back
to china. I applied for H1B visa in China and then re-entered us. So i got
the I-94 attached with my passport shows the ending date same as my passport
expiration date.

我们单位的人说要重新续一下。。。我现在真是迷糊了。刚刚找到我从ORIGIONAL I797
上撕下来的下面的那部分，左边是有一个写的：DETACH THIS HALF OFF FOR PERSONAL
RECORDS
然后下面是：
