Put the RX-100 in pocket with me all the time, used when dun need/dun have
energy for tripod, ~80% of the times.
Decided to use auto modes, so won't make the mistake of forget to change
settings when switching from outdoor to indoor etc. Also can better use
limited brain power when dun have to worry about settings.
Th regret is should have used aperture priority (f1.8) for most portraits.
And be nice if had an adaptor with polarizer.

呵呵，棒冰老师不是都阅过了。其实拍风景还是不行，不够广，也没上滤镜，没脚架
，没构图, 真的是point and shoot.
不过IQ很好, 比以前的卡片机好多了.

The camera is tiny. Didn't use any case, just put camera in pocket of a
fleece jacket, not too much bigger than phone+case.
For dynamic range, used raw file, from a single shot, made two different
exposures in ACR, then hand blended using layer masks in photoshop. Was not
super careful though, so pretty rough. Will learn luminosity masks in 2014.

i see. it is digital HDR type of thing?
one exposure for dark and one exposure for the bright?
it just like a flash compensation at much larger scale.

Yes, #3, and 2nd to last one are single exposures, rest are all some kind of
hand blending with two exposures (from a single raw file). I am very
conservative though so the two
exposures are not too different.

喔，客猫...
你船上照的也很好，颜色自然，鲜艳，有自己的风格。
其实没必要抄袭一定要多张合成。
我一个朋友，只用jpg直出，很少后期，但照的非常好。

this one is for landscape, but technique is similar I imagine.
and for advanced, you can google "luminosity masks", thats what bangbing was
saying all the time.

是的。blend/luminosity mask不局限于风光，所有照片类型都适用的。比如focus
blend其实很早就广泛应用于微距了。landscape很多技术是相通的，比如人像摄影中有
一个很NB的技术叫Brenizer Method就是借鉴了landscape的panorama。

i kinda disagree.
the HDR tech is best used for scenic pictures, which make it possible to
take multiple exposures for the same thing over and over again without
worrying about something is moving.
however, for portrait, you deal with people. so, the best for portrait
is flash light. you can setup complicated flash lights to get what you
want.
For the russian mom, i am not sure how she did it. i want to know too.

flash 确实很重要，我最近也一直在研究这个。不过russian mom 都说了她用的自然光
。所以只能是后期多张合成。当然这个合成很复杂。理论上，如果你有+/-2ev的图做合
成，什么光线，层次都可以用绘画的方式做出来

这个不是HDR。人动了没关系。人像的multiple blending相当于用单张照片来包括
人像，然后取其他照片的背景曝光。这就好像landscape里有的时候前景是被风吹动得
小花，一样可以几张blend。这个本质上讲和传统HDR是完全不一样的，是只取每张照片
的精华部分合在一起。而HDR是把每张照片的所有像素都整合在一张中。当然这不能取
代打光，但也许能创造出点特殊效果。
虽然我也不是很清楚俄罗斯那几张是否用了multiple blending。很难看出来。

blending还是不能乱用啊，我试了几次，结果发现越改越烂，对比度都没有了。。。还
是不入门啊。。。

等我dropbox清空点以后share你几个教程吧：）你发现没对比说明你blend得是对的。
但blend有技巧的。简单说就是blend前raw处理阶段要even一些每张照片的曝光，blend
以后是肯定lose contrast的，因为本来就是把亮的擦暗，暗的擦亮。所以blend以后是
要通过level/curve来找回局部contrast.
