“We are now in the final, overheated phase of gold’s protracted bull
market,” Chris Eibl, a partner at Zug, Switzerland-based Tiberius Asset
Management AG, which has $2.8 billion in assets, wrote in a report
distributed Sept. 15. Gold “is already so overbought in the wake of panic
selling of bank stocks that a calming of the European financial markets
could well trigger a tactical pullback by about $200 to $300.”
Warren Buffett, the world’s most successful investor, says the metal has no
utility.
“They take it out of the ground in South Africa, ship it to the Federal
Reserve, where they put it back in the ground,” Buffett said on April 30 at
Berkshire Hathaway Inc.’s annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska. “If you were
watching from Mars, you might think it’s a little peculiar.”

I don't see any worthy argument here at all, regardless who said and did
whatever. I think the greenback has been wildly overvalued when measured
against gold/silver and commodities in general, and now it's returning to
its true value.
The effect of brainwashing diminishes with distance and gets muffled through
translation, so the folks across the ocean don't really care whatever
pseudo theories and junk science the Street made up. They'll keep buying
gold and silver along with the central banks and FED had no option but to
ease on price control on one hand and raise the premium on the other. As
long as real interest rate is negative, gold will keep going up.

Even then, as to the "no utility" part, he is dead wrong.
Plus, he is not God, his words are not the holy scripture. If you

Soros said the truth
but most of the time, by his intension or not, most people mis-interpret
what
he said.
Here is a perfect example. He said gold will be the "ultimate asset bubble".
Most people just caught the word "bubble" instead of "ultimate". After the
dot-com bubble, real estate bubble, the debt bubble, currency bubble, yes,
gold will eventually build a bubble after all the above ones burst. We are
perhaps in the later part of the debt bubble and the very early stage of the
currency bubble. The "ultimate asset bubble", gold, has a long way to build.
Just ride it and prepare to get out at the right time.
It is naive to avoid such a nice run just because it is going to become
a bubble "ultimately".

所以说在美国don't fight the fed，在中国就听党的话。党和政府就是终极暴力组织
，货币的最终信用保证。如果它愿意，随时可以没收黄金。

08年Lehman完蛋美元狂涨，黄金跌到一盎司$700，这是你金融危机以来入黄金
最佳时期了吧？到现在$1400涨了一倍。苹果从$80到现在$400涨了5倍，
AMZN从不到$40到现在涨了6倍。 Citi Bank最低的时候跌到并股前的9毛7，
到现在2块6，涨了不到3倍，中间还有过4块多的时候。其他涨了10倍15倍的股票一把
把的。
你的宝贝金子累死累活连个Citi Bank都没拼过，也就大概跟大loser NOK差不多，还傻
呵呵

I "saved it.
but it preserves my weath much better than the fiat. while you are seeing

This is how bash you gold? I can find gold & silver mining stocks that
draw circles around those stocks you bragged about. How about GG for a
4-bagger since 2008 low. How about AUY for 5-bagger? How about SLW for
14-bagger? You are completely clueless about gold and silver.

I don't see any worthy argument here at all, regardless who said and did
whatever. I think the greenback has been wildly overvalued when measured
against gold/silver and commodities in general, and now it's returning to
its true value.
The effect of brainwashing diminishes with distance and gets muffled through
translation, so the folks across the ocean don't really care whatever
pseudo theories and junk science the Street made up. They'll keep buying
gold and silver along with the central banks and FED had no option but to
ease on price control on one hand and raise the premium on the other. As
long as real interest rate is negative, gold will keep going up.

Soros said the truth
but most of the time, by his intension or not, most people mis-interpret
what
he said.
Here is a perfect example. He said gold will be the "ultimate asset bubble".
Most people just caught the word "bubble" instead of "ultimate". After the
dot-com bubble, real estate bubble, the debt bubble, currency bubble, yes,
gold will eventually build a bubble after all the above ones burst. We are
perhaps in the later part of the debt bubble and the very early stage of the
currency bubble. The "ultimate asset bubble", gold, has a long way to build.
Just ride it and prepare to get out at the right time.
It is naive to avoid such a nice run just because it is going to become
a bubble "ultimately".

I never said I "earned" money by owning gold
1 oz of gold is still the same 1 oz of gold no matter how many years after
I "saved it.
but it preserves my weath much better than the fiat. while you are seeing
your dollar losing purchasing power, my gold retains my weath much better

system, yes, gold bugs will "spend" their gold and buy back stocks and

He brought goldcorp from a $50 million market cap to over $8 billion,
a 31% compound annual growth rate.
If one wants to invest in this market other than saving gold, people
