you can buy membership with one friend and share the fee with him/her.
also use your credit card to buy AMEX gift card to pay at costco to get
aoubt 4-5% cashback on purchase.
You are not allow to buy anything without membership card even you pay cash.

昨天去试了下self check out，想只用costco cash card买东西，结果不先刷会员卡的
话，没法刷东西，不知道要怎么操作，才行啊？

self check out肯定不行，第一步就是扫membership
online可以non－member，加一个一次性的20～30的fee，local应该不行，不过有次
membership过期了，supervisor来override一下也可以破例，但常用肯定不行

给PASS前 ，要看驾照。 查了一下他们写在本本上的名单，那好像是最近办临时PASS人
的名单。
看来办临时PASS不能间隔太短。
我买了东西，CASH CARD没有换成CASH。

I went one store last month too, was not asked for take a PASS, just showed
the cash card and got in.
