好像有三个要素
1. Local dialect; 2. Swearing words; 3. Erratic grammar.
中译的时候，第一点可以找个民风相近地方的土话。第二点国骂也不缺。这最后一个，谁
说说怎么翻阿？下面举个英文例子（注意那个”were”的用法）：
My 1st memory is of Mother breaking eggs into a bowl and crying that Jimmy
Quinn my 15 yr. old uncle were arrested by the traps. I don't know where my
daddy were that day nor my older sister Annie. I were 3 yr. old. While my
mother cried I scraped the sweet yellow batter onto a spoon and ate it - the
roof were leaking above the camp oven, each drop hissing as

口语形式的文字要一字一词地翻过来会有点儿牵强，我觉得不如用相对风格,
参考中文里相应阶级（hehe）的说话方式, 不过我的写作能力比较半桶水,
先写下来算举例说明吧. :)

hehe.. 后来再仔细看了一下原文，好像我什么都没回答, 这个随便的语法,
大概可以融和到文风中去, 总而言之如果能够模仿原文口气, 还能保持流畅,
就很了不起了. 不知道有没有人见过"Trainspotting"或者"The Color Purple"
的权威性中译文, 我想象中Trainspotting会有点儿象北京小痞子的口气, 而
The Color Purple, 就是很实在的农家女子说法, 这两部书里故意安排的语
法特征很多, 看的时候没放在心上, 也不知道翻译家是如何处理的.

No, the characters in Trainspotting are mainly Scottish junkies, and
The Color Purple is black American, the quote sounds more like white
American to me.. I was just thinking how we pay very little attention
to bad grammar when it's a part of the language style. And this is
good news for people with poor English education like me! :)

很多电影都是用的口音很重的方言,我只能听出是英国的,却弄不清哪跟
哪有什么不同.你可不可以举一点具体的scottish的例子,可以用来快速
识别的.

movies: braveheart (mel gibson, etc), trainspotting(everybody in it), etc.
the most notable scottish actor perhaps is sean connery. ewan mcgregor is the
second, i think. he kept saying 'yew' instead of 'you' even in an american
film. ;)
the oddest grammer i've ever noticed is in "little voice". brenda blethyn is
hysterical. actually, the whole movie is rather hysterical. :)

it's easy for us to tell american accent from british accent. so, it's a
matter of familiarity.
irish, scottish, cockney, etc. there are a lot of these in the movies, but,
because we only passively watch the movie, we don't pay that much attention.

补充一下：原文来自：《The True Story of the Kelly Gang》 by Peter Carey
地点是澳大利亚，主角是爱尔兰裔。偶只看过第一章，不过据说全书都是用这种半文盲的
笔法写的。
想起这个问题，是因为正在看Ken Kesey的《Sometimes A Great Notion》。里面的哥俩
一个是乡下粗人，一个是Yale的学生；讲话都时有用俗话和脏字（取决于地点和对象）。
不过差别好像就在：粗人要显粗时用erratic grammar，知识青年连个ain’t都不好意思
讲。
不知中文口语中有没有类似（不一定是语法上）的差别？

i remember reading a collection of irish ghost stories and it gave me lots of
headache.;P

Ned Kelly 真有其人，属于草莽英雄类的角色。后世关于他的作品好像有很多。这本小说
是2001年出的。

苏格兰口音句末上扬, 跟爱尔兰口音有点儿类似, 但是跟英格兰口音,
或者著名的伦敦腔有很明显的分别. 这两个民族以前都是说Gaelic的,
爱尔兰大部分路牌和公共场所至今仍有英文和Gaelic双语标注, 但是
大部分当地年轻人也不太会说. 这个语言死去的故事也很有趣, 想起
来在新疆的政府机构招牌上面除了中文, 很少标明当地文字, 可偏偏
当地居民谈天办事都不用中文. ——不过他们说起汉语来倒是字正腔
圆的普通话.

hehe, 中文语法... 是给外国人学的. :)
不同阶层人物语法特征上的差别肯定是有啦, 只是我们这些本地人觉得很自然,
从来不会停下来分析句法... 令人印象深刻的低层人物对白, "骆驼祥子"里面
有很多, 经过些艰苦的知识分子, "黄金时代"也非常口语化, 不过似乎这样独
特的语言风格越来越少了...

高中语文的句子成分分析,俺从来没学会用汉语做,一直是靠在脑子里翻成E文.
