Here is a poignant reflection upon Christ as He prayed alone in the Garden of Gethsemane. The lyrics recall the gospel story. "Flowering trees shower petals and leaves all around on the ground, where He weeps on His knees." The music flows in 3/4 with sensitive text declamation and colorful harmonies. An optional oboe (or C Instrument) obligato adds a mournful touch.

歌词极美,讲述的是耶稣受难前最后一夜在客西马尼亚园向神祷告的情景.他知道自己明天的命运,向父祈求祷告,便是这最著名的一段:

马可福音14:36

他 说 ， 阿 爸 ， 父 阿 ， 在 你 凡 事 都 能 。 求 你 将 这 杯 撤 去 。 然 而 不 要 从 我 的 意 思 ， 只 要 从 你 的 意 思 。

他求父亲不要让他承受这些,但他说条件是出于父的旨意,而不是他的.但是天父的计划是他代替世人承受罪的惩罚,所以他顺从赴死.所谓:　

		他 本 有 神 的 形 像 ， 不 以 自 己 与 神 同 等 为强夺 的 。
		反 倒 虚 己 ， 取 了 奴 仆 的 形 像 ， 成 为 人 的 样 式 。
		既 有 人 的 样 子 ， 就 自 己 卑 微 ， 存 心 顺 服 ， 以 至 于 死 ， 且 死 在 十 字 架 上 。 腓立比书２：6-8
