Rables, peasants, farmers,
gabriel's mother' necklace: a north star, never move, constant, never wave, a guide, why men justify death? arrogant
is spoken by the character Benjamin Martin (played by Mel Gibson). In the scene, Martin is looking at a necklace that belonged to his deceased wife, who was Gabriel's mother. The necklace has a North Star pendant, and Martin explains its significance to his son Gabriel (played by Heath Ledger). Martin describes the North Star as a guide, always constant and never wavering, and he wonders why men feel the need to justify death, implying that arrogance is often a motivating factor in war and conflict. The quote reflects Martin's disillusionment with war and his desire for peace and stability.
"The Patriot" is a historical action-drama film set during the American Revolutionary War and features an ensemble cast led by Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger. The film tells the story of Benjamin Martin, a widower and war hero who is forced to take up arms against the British Redcoats to protect his family and his country's independence. Directed by Roland Emmerich, the film features stunning action sequences and memorable performances by its lead actors.
One of the strengths of "The Patriot" is its attention to historical detail and its portrayal of the realities of war. The film does not shy away from the brutal violence and atrocities committed during the conflict, and it offers a nuanced portrayal of the complex political and social issues at stake. At the same time, the film also explores universal themes such as family, loyalty, and sacrifice, making it a powerful and emotionally resonant viewing experience.
Overall, "The Patriot" is a well-crafted and entertaining film that offers a compelling mix of action, drama, and historical accuracy. Its stellar cast and strong direction make it a memorable addition to the genre of historical war films.
** The quote "Aim small, miss small. Boys, steady" @28:22/2:09:10 - is actually a line from the 2006 film "The Patriot," not a John Williams composition. In the film, the line is spoken by Benjamin Martin (played by Mel Gibson) as he teaches his sons how to shoot a rifle. The full quote is "Aim small, miss small. Meaning, aim for a specific part of your target. If you aim for the whole thing, you'll miss it completely." This quote has since become a popular mantra among shooters and hunters, emphasizing the importance of precision and focus in marksmanship.
** @49:49//2:09:10 The quote "A shepherd must defend his flock. At war, fight off its wolves" is from the 2000 film "The Patriot," which is set during the American Revolutionary War. The quote is spoken by Reverend Oliver (played by René Auberjonois) as he rallies a group of farmers and soldiers to join the militia and fight for their freedom against the British. The quote uses the metaphor of a shepherd defending his flock from wolves to inspire the men to take up arms and protect their homes and families from the dangers of war.

hwere did you learn riding, scavenging, shooting? my father taught me. did he teach humility? he tried. but it didn't take. He also taught you every deer path, and swan trail from here to Charleston. That's why I requested yuou to transfer to me.
This dialogue appears to be from "The Patriot" (2000), a historical action-drama film set during the American Revolutionary War. The quote reflects a conversation between Colonnel Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson) and ), in which his son Corporal Heath Ledger questions Heath Ledger's skills as a soldier and Heath Ledger explains that he learned his survival skills from his father. The dialogue suggests that Martin's father taught him not only practical skills like riding, scavenging, and shooting, but also important values like humility (even if it didn't take) and an intimate knowledge of the surrounding landscape. This knowledge is what makes Martin an invaluable asset to the army, and why Captain Wilkins requests him to transfer to his unit.

This film set up Jason Isaacs as one of the best "bad guy" actors of all time! Boy Warner/JK/ and the Harry Potter Producers sure could cast the villains....Jason here, sadistic Col. Tavington, and Ralph Fiennes, sadistic Amon Goeth from Schindler's List.

My ancestors were Patriots in the Great Revolution. One fought under General Greene. Many fought all ive found were Patriots. In their honor im a Constitutional Republican. Not the republicans we see today but Republicans like Lincoln and our Founders. Loyal to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We almost didn't win.
Guts and guile were all we really had. And God. God saved us. Recently we've almost let fools destroy what we so narrowly won. At the moment we have a fragile balance. Pray we do not lose it 1:18:31 1:18:34
