am very interested in this industry. i have an accounting background and
was wondering if hedge fund accounting is a good career option either in U.S
. or in China. Comparing with corporate accounting, i heard this industry
has a higher pay range. is that true? Please give some advices. thank you.

Hedge fund accountants do get paid higher than corporate accountants, since
in a hedge fund, there won't be too many accountants. And hedge fund
accountants usually get a much higher year-end bonus, if the fund is
performing well in the year.
I think hedge fund accountants will work better and make more in US than in
China, as the financial industry (hedge fund/mutual fund/private equity,etc)
is more matured and developed in US. However, in current economy, financial
industry has suffered a lot,

field - knock the door.
I have 4 years accounting experience in accounting firm and now want to seek
some other opportunities.
Does a PhD degree in this field help? or i should work on a CFA.
