周五被告知我的职位被裁掉，让我收拾东西走人。
我跟上面老板又好好谈了一下，老板说经济不好公司压力太大，我的职位工资比大家都
高一些...blabla
我说被裁了身份就没了，至少给我点时间再找找吧。
最后上面给的offer是工作时间减半，一周20小时。
请问各位：
1. 这样搞我是不是得马上把h1b换成part time才合法？
2. 我可不可以让公司给我一个月的无薪假？这样能保持h1b身份多一个月么？

想问一下，四大看简历是不是就是按时间顺序来的呀？他们是不是看人够了后边交的就不
会看了？
如果是在DEADLINE前一天投的是不是基本上不会被看到了？

the best way to do is to ask big four recruiter these questions, and all
other questions you may have along the process. They like ppl asking
questions, all sorts of questions. ppl here are not big recruiters, at
least not very likely..so we wouldn't know...

report this change (from full time to part time)? can we just keep looking

我不说就没人管了？那很好。我就是担心转h1的时候遇到麻烦，比如要paystub之类的

it's been said h1b transfer needs at least 2 month payslips..Don't know you
taking vacation now is a good idea or a bad one

赶紧给熟悉的律师打个电话问。你说的无薪假好像是不可以的。你在payroll的时间一
终止，h1-b就失效。不过你还是问律师的好。甚至不要只问一个律师。

last two pay stubs只是说明你gap多少，实际上移民局处理材料的时候，有个1、2月
的gap也是没有什么问题的，如果gap再大，只要不是太离谱，最多让你回国激活

My opinion is as follow:

You should report the change of your cutting hour, unless you won't file
another H-1B. Otherwise they will want to see if the past employment has
fulfilled the full time H-1B requirements.
Yes, H1-B employees may take long unpaid leave without having their status
affected. Keep in mind that if leave is taken, one will not be paid.
Furthermore, the employers may terminate employment at any time for any or
no reason at all.

另外补充一下两种情况的不同：
1、H-1B employees take a long unpaid leave for personal reasons/family
reasons/maternity reasons while still remaining a valid H-1B status；
2、you will be considered to be out of status if your employer asks you to
take unpaid vacation/leave because of their business shrunk dramatically.
Moreover, the employer is considered to be “benching,” a violation of
immigration law.

我说说我的情况吧
我之前申请的时候是申请full time的，但其实我的payroll也只是part time的钱。。。
之后我transfer到另外一个公司，申请的是part time, 用了2个月旧公司的paystub，
也就是不够full time的，也过了~
不知道移民局的标准是什么啊~

根据lucylu的解释，
unpaid leave理论上必须是个人原因，应该reasonable
否则公司就涉嫌违规
当然在政策执行上，可能没人管。

无法回答你的问题。根据个人经历分享信息：
1。赶紧找工作是王道。
2。Non-paid leave, part time job是辅助手段，总比gap时间过长要好。（从你的角
度出发，不考虑公司行为是否合法）
3。transfer H1并不是一定需要提供pay stub.不提供也可能通过。
4。如果你有benefit，比如：vocation, 各种leave，赶紧用。
