This is not typical accounting position. Most of time the responsiblities
are cash reconciliation, position reconciliation, PnL reconiliation,
corporate action recording, NAV calculation, fee calcuation.....

我想大部分都可以这样做, 但有些涉及西方的历史,像八国联军,各地的教案之类的,可
能就要
查资料重头编起了.
其实两种方式,工作量都不小, 不过如果大家一起努力的话, 应该是可以成功的.

Portfolio accountant or fund accountant is quite different from corporate
accountant. If you like to deal with investment instruments, this is the
position you like. However, if you like typical accounting (what you learn
from school or textbook), you should do corporate accountant.

Sound like you do not have any experience about portfolio accounting. I
think the way to get prepared is that at least you need to have basic
knowledge about investment instrument such like stock, bond, and option. The
last but not least, you need to have very positive attitude and tell the
interviewer(s) you are a quick learner and you are really interested in this
job.
Just keep in mind, a successful fund accountant can make really good money
especially if you work for a hedge fund. So I guess the competition should
be high. Good luck.
