大家好，今天早上发现女友意外怀孕了，立马脑袋一片空白，希望大家能给出出主意，
感激不尽！
楼主现在是H1， 在纽约工作。 女友F1，现在opt。 今年5月刚刚毕业，所以现在没有
保险。本来打算8月份去领证，然后把她加到我的plan里面的，结果前天她说大姨妈推
迟了一周没来，我就让她买了个验孕棒，结果今天早上查出来怀孕了！！
简单咨询了下流产的危害，感觉很心疼女友，不是很想让她打胎。但是由于她现在已经
怀孕了，再把她加到我的plan里面，好像生孩子也是不保的。美国生孩子费用又那么昂
贵。我现在真是焦头烂额又不知所措。希望各位有经验的大哥大姐指点迷津，看看有没
有什么法子。谢谢大家了！

生孩子保险当然会cover了，总不能让在美国的外国人怀孕了都自己在家生吧
而且在纽约这个福利超好的地方，应该是能有办法得到免费的perinatal care，至少即
使是非法移民也都能享受到的

千万不能打胎．打胎是万万不行的．不清楚纽约那里的情况．加州是这样的．很多没有
保险的人就怀孕时在家养胎，要生时就直接去政府医院．费用是全免费的，走时医院还
会送您一个 car seat.
您就赶紧问问看哪里有政府医院，去打听看看是不是也是这样的．

status so that the US government can tax foreigners at 30% rate. Foreigners

20周以前是可以打胎的，这个权利受联邦法保护
24周以后只有极少数州允许以非医学原因引产，但纽约州不在其中
20-24周是医学上的灰区，法律上我也不清楚
是否需要打胎主要考虑的是楼主和女友的社会经济感情因素
妊娠和分娩对女性的风险其实远大于人工流产

30%的税是指分红或者收入，炒股收益是算作capital gain，外国人是不用交一分钱税
的。

1. 如果两个人都想要，就留着。
2. 不结婚，保险没法加她。
3. 只要她的收入不高(假设你们不急着结婚)，产前检查和生产有联邦资助(归在
Medicaid里面)，州里也有一些资助，具体如何办理要问市政府的福利部门。这部分不
需要绿卡，但要查收入，以后也会再Audit。
4. 如果要留着，就抓紧开始prenatal care (补充产前维生素、产前检查等等)。

Yeah, interesting if you can claim losses as well ... Win you pay 30% (
sounds like only dividends are taxed), loss you also pay, may be unlimited.

australian lunar is not considered pure bullion, they are considered by some
as semi-numismatic.
So their pricing is not all based on silver spot.1oz is more expensive than
2oz because more people want the 1oz one.

我们都是一直生活在各种选择之中吧。我也住过小城市，每天早晨绕着湖滨跑步，周末
的时候到乡村小饭馆里吃饭，看舞池里的人跳舞，或者看橄榄球球赛。当时很小，一直
想退休以后过这种生活，现在回想起来，平平淡淡的生活，也是很舒服的。：）

如果你们结婚了，能申请H1的最低的工资就让你老婆没法申请medicaid了。
结婚加保险，大多数公司的政策是必须30天内报告，否则要等到年底open enrollment
。或者你老婆毕业失掉原来的保险，要在30天内报告加到你的保险上，否则要等到年底
open enrollment。一般来说怀孕是个例外情况，可以免除30天的限制，但需要doctor'
s note。
有的公司是60天甚至90天。

恭喜楼主!纽约应该有很好的产妇健保，生下来后孩子也会有几乎免费的健保(好像叫
CHIP）。有孩子后生活会不容易，但是包你不会后悔。

主要还是生活动荡不安，不知道自己最终的归宿在哪里。在小城市，我不安分，看到过
去的同学都在上台阶，我不能满足；在大城市，我又喜欢安安静静。道理我懂，寻找幸
福，就是一种内心的平和。可是，同学之间的peer pressure，自己内心的向往，不是
那么容易和谐的。反正就是自己做不到那种平和。

通人的日子实在算不上“动荡不安”。

，以后安定下来了，就不会经常想着自己如何如何，别人如何如何，到时mindset会变
的。听你口气现在貌似在大城市干事业？以后在郊区买了房，白天城里人，晚上乡下人
，不就平衡了吗？

ld当年干了2个月的contractor之后找到别的公司full time了，同时这个contractor也
没扔，让人家把工作发到家里来周末弄一下。
这也是j2的第二个好处，可以同时兼若干份工作。h1b这么干就有点麻烦。

这个嘛，在国内实现是有难度，但在美国，是易如反掌的事。单身的人想不到去市郊买
房住，但结婚的人绝大部分是在市郊买房的。呵呵，所以要想过那种平衡的生活，我看
这边的环境是再好不过的了。
