Never seen a job posting like this.....with the PhD requirement in
additional to actuarial experience.
Description:

We are looking for an experienced L&H actuary with strong analytical and
mathematical skills (PhD in science or similar) to work in our Methods &
Processes Unit, part of Actuarial Services and Tools. Our team is in charge
of general (ie non-product specific) actuarial methods and processes for
pricing and has in the past developed and implemented the methods, tools and
processes

This is essentially a PhD position. Actuary is the second requirement. ^_^

This is normal. The chief actuary of my company is a physics phd.
