Job Description:
The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for all channel sales of company’s
products in North America (US and Canada), Australia and New Zealand. Tasks
include building relationships and driving channel sales activities to
generate leads and sales pipeline with strategic partners (dealers,
resellers and distributors).
Job Responsibilities:
● Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue quota assignments for
channel partner accounts in North America (US and Canada), Australia and New
Zealand
● Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s products and
technologies, competitive products and industry trends. Develop in-territory
partners by assisting with certification requirements and sales and product
training
● Have a clear understanding of partner’s business model, goals and
requirements. Promote sales with partners. Manage and train sales reps as
required
● Develop and expand relationships with current partners and recruit new
partners (and new partner reps) in North America, Australia and New Zealand
● Implement and manage company’s channel sales strategy in North America,
Australia and New Zealand. Generate and update channel partner plans at
least quarterly. Plans must include a clear articulation of channel partner
’s strategy
● Pro-actively interface with prospects and partners on a daily basis to
provide assistance and support the closure of revenue opportunities
● Participate in trade shows and related business events to make
presentations to partners and user groups, as required
● Coordinate and communicate with sales teams in both Europe and China on
partner strategy and goals
● Drive issues to resolution with appropriate channel partner functional
departments.
● Ability to help develop and implement channel programs and promotions as
well as provide on-going constructive feedback regarding their effectiveness
● Satisfy internal reporting requirements by submitting reports and records
in accordance with company policies and practices
● Work in close collaboration with sales, marketing and R&D teams located
in China as well as overseas offices in Europe
● Travel in North America, Australia and New Zealand
Job Requirements and Qualification
● Bachelor’s degree required - Business, marketing, or IT preferred.
Advanced degree preferred
● 5-10 years of proven distribution channel experience in consumer
electronic products
● Excellent prospecting, phone and communication skills mandatory. Skills
in time management and organization
● Ability to close business while achieving a high level of customer and
partner satisfaction
● Strong presentation skills with executive-facing composure, and the
ability to hold the interest of a technical or non-technical audience
● Need to demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment where
strong organizational skills are essential and have strong problem solving,
interpersonal and ownership skills, along with strong written, verbal and
interpersonal skills
● Passion for winning, a strong aptitude for business strategy, excellent
collaboration skills with a wide variety of internal team members, self-
starter, self-confident individual with integrity and accountability, highly
