去年6月1号左右新的primary home close了
但是因为装修什么的，第一套房子一直住到9月1号，9月1号才搬到新的primary home
原来的primary home 10月1号才出租出去
请问我这种情况，原来的primary home该从哪天算出租房呢？是9月1号，还是6月1号呢
？哪种情况tax的benefit会比较大一点？

H1b需要填吗? 如果公司已经在办绿卡,在DS160如实填写有公司在帮办绿卡了,接下来的

it was converted to rental property on the first day you put it on the
market. for instance, on 9/2, after you moved to your new house, you
advertised it for rent. 9/2 would be the first day for that house as a
rental house. when you got renters does not matter.

那照这么说，6月1号到九月1号，两套房子的税和interest 都算primary home的，可以
用来做deduction？

before you converted the house to rental house, you had a primary home and a
secondary home. you deduct the mortgage interests and property taxes of
both homes in schedule A.
after you converted one of your homes to rental home, you deduct the
mortgage interest, etc of the rental home in schedule E to offset the rental
income.

再次汗去年年底买了1.9.6 刚刚就是不能免费升级
发信问了不知道是现在用40％ off 再买一次然后免费升级划算还是等新的出来50％
off划算，因为新的价格未定

旧版的还是42＊（1－40％）啊对于academic license
新版的是 x*(1-50%) 对于既有用户
如果新版定价高于50，那就还不如现在买一个免费升级的旧版了

papers可以sync到云端么在另一台电脑上用么？有没有size limit？
mendeley我觉得挺好用的，就是免费的500MB快满了，扩容还是按月交钱的，无底洞啊
