应该不行吧。这种东西都是需要耐心和反应的。
一般越狱出来到苹果堵上漏洞时间都不会太久。所以需要迅速行动。
俺的apple tv去年很早就买了，一直等了好几个月才破解。
不过俺觉得不破解，用 airplay 也挺爽的。俺现在越狱了大部分时间还是用airplay 。

it should be fine as long as your machine still has the old software (which
is most likely the case) and you don't allow it to update.

现在官网购的话应该是新os, 因为是厂家直接寄的。
去苹果店买很有可能是旧的os...
amazon不知道是旧库存还是新货

I have not tried it since I already JB my apple TV and do not see any reason
to upgrade to OS 4.2.

I got the ATV2 from amazon.com. Its firmware is 4.1.1
Still breakable.
