I have a question:
Suppose I have a chase UA card, for my travel, my company ordered an Alaska
airline airfare(I provide my UA account number to them), am I able to get
the UA points? Assuming UA and Alaska are under the same union?

其实现在硬件不稀奇，谁都会做。
关键是要看软件，看生态。
除非微软出钱请人写软件，否则没戏。

Are you talking about getting points by using credit card to purchase tix or
getting points by flying? You can use chase sapphire card to buy any
airline tix and get 2x points on the dollar amount spent. In addition to
that, you can accumulate miles when you ride on the plane to your frequent
flyer account with that airline or an alliance with that airline.
So if you do business travel, you likely won't get the points by spending on
your own credit card but that should be OK because that's not a lot of
points. And for the miles you get by flying, you can give your frequent
flyer number at checkin. Baozi please

他公司负责帮他买机票，然后他提供他的帐号积攒Mile，同时又想在Chase卡上积攒点
数...
如果是这样，倒不如自己用Chase卡买机票，同时积攒里程和Point，然后报销...

Yes, you are right. On the form the company provide me, it has a line: "do
you have any reward account with a airline?"
I was thinking how to provide my chase saph preferred card to them so that I
can accumulate some point on my company's travel.
The problem is: the compnay do not allow me to book my own air ticket,
everything need to go through a "travel specialist" :(
So I can only provide the specialist a reward number in order to get any
points.

Chase那个卡的点数是可以换多个航空公司的吧...
所以我觉得这个“reward account with a airline”是指你的航空公司的里程帐号...
And，现在是你的公司买票，你的Chase卡没有消费，感觉这样不能积攒点数啊...

Yes, it is correct. And the payer gets the first and the rider gets the
later. So if you buy tickets for your parents, you get points on your credit
card and they get miles in their airline account. And the latter is usually
a lot more. E.g., a round trip flight to China will result in only about a
couple thousand points in credit card points and 15k or more in airline
miles

taiwan) awhile ago. At that time, I did not have any airline reward account.
May I create one now and get the point back for my previous international
travel?
If so, which airline will you suggest me to create an account and any
suggestion on how to reclaim my mileage?

Yes, you should try to reclaim the miles, they worth a lot (around $200).
China airlins is a member of skyteam, so your natural choice is Delta. And
once you sign up for skymiles account on Delta, you should be able to find
report missing miles. Not sure when you took the flight, but you should give
a try anyways. One more baozi plz

By the way, why do you think the point from my international travel worth ~$200
? You mean I can use those point to buy ~$200 air tickets at delta or you mean I can sell them directly for ~$200?

You don't need to call them, on your manage account online, there is an
option to request mileage credit.
Miles are valuable, particularly if you redeem for international travel (a
lot more valuable if for international business). Depends on where you flew
to Taiwan, you probably get around 15k miles for the round trip. You do that
4 more times, you can redeem a round trip ticket back to China in economy,
and 7 more times, business class. You probably know how much those fares
will sell for, so you know why I say around $200 worth of miles. Don't sell
your miles unless you have too many miles. Selling them is like giving away
some of the values to others unless you can't use them. You have a lot more
baozi than I do, one more plz

oh NO, they asked me to fax them the e-ticket (which I still have) and the
BOARDING PASS (which I already put into the trash can) in order to claim the
miles.
Anyone know how to get the boarding pass for a travel happened a few months
ago?
