Supposedly I am an idiot: I bought a desktop 17 years ago with $700. It

And I can use that desktop anywhere, anytime. I took it to WTC on 911, to
Parkistan, to Kosov, to Antactica, to Syria, to Iran, to Hogwarts, to
Pandora, to the Middle Earth. It saved me from the attack of the Death Star,
delivered me to the spaceship with Arthur Dent, helped me to fight
alongside the Na'vis. Also, it successfully shielded me from being monitored
by the evil NSA. It IS priceless.
The only problem is, it is too heavy for me to carry it and its acessories,
so I am now a hunchback.

desktop, laptop and tablet are all computers. They fulfill the same function
. for portability, laptop has it too. My laptop were purchased in 2009 with
$400.00. I still use it. No intention to buy a new one.
So to account of comparability issue, it can be 400/5<700/3. this is a
reasonable logic.

不是果轮，但是是逻辑控。。说说好了
任何东西的贬值都是exponential decay
所以你用7年电脑的贬值跟ipad的前3年贬值比较是没有太多意义的。
正确的比较方法应该是比较同时期买入的电脑和ipad三年后的剩余价值
并且，你好歹除下原价。。
用这个公式算算吧

although i don't like crazy apple fans, obviously your statement doesn't
make sense at all
in a real world, ppl usually buy laptops at $400-800. Let's make it 600
after 3 years, assuming the laptop works good, it usually worth no more than
200 bucks
I feel Win laptops and ipads lost their values at about the same rate, ie
100 bucks a year

没东西能和苹果比，ipad iphone就算是变成砖，也是值得。也比俺的电脑值。
