I have had a lot of trouble with the company-designated law firms. My
biggest lesson is that unless you have a very good lawyer, otherwise you
should do everything on your own.
I think petition letter is the key. I would say the best way to revise the
petition letter is to ask a layperson to proofread. Tell the proofreader to
raise anything that catches his or her attention, no matter how trivial it
is. Try your best to address all of them. Do not get frustrated even if some
of the questions may appear stupid to you. Chances are the immigration
officer will ponder upon the same questions. Whenever you mention some
supporting evidence, make a clear reference to the supporting materials. Do
not take it for granted that the immigration officer will be as familiar
with all the supporting materials as you are. Also, make a clear list for
all the supporting materials and provide adequate explanations so that
people can easily locate things they want to find.
