说到 Thank you notes，今天读到 Elaine de Kooning 写的。她是抽象表现主义
画家 Willem de Kooning 的妻子，自己也是个画家。 一提这 Abstract
Expressionism，争议还挺多的。无非是绘画没有主题，而绘画本身成为主题等..
我对此也说不出所以然，但 Willem 一头金发，曾是个 golden boy 是没争议的。 :)
我摘抄一些吧
MICHELANGELO for his ability to rock and roll
REMBRANDT for his love of flesh and his deep understanding of knees
DELACROIX for the ideas not the facts of his painting
GIACOMETTI for hacking scale to pieces and not caring about being crumby
