Domonique Latrice Williams was arrested Friday on the two-count indictment.
He's scheduled to be arraigned on the charges at 9:45 a.m. in Multnomah
County Circuit Court.
The crash occurred around 4:08 p.m. Oct. 21, when a 1992 Chevy Tahoe
traveling westbound on Southeast Ash Street failed to stop at a stop sign
approaching 80th Avenue and hit a 2007 Honda Civic.
Portland police identified the 63-year-old woman who was killed as Flora
Denby Novarra of Tualatin.
Williams, the Tahoe driver, was not injured and remained at the scene.
Williams is accused of "unlawfully and negligently'' causing Novarra's death
and recklessly damaging property of another woman named Brenda Jose,
according to the indictment.
He has prior convictions, including delivery of marijuana in 2013, third-
degree robbery in 2007 and attempting to elude police in 2008, according to
court records.
