Just saw a NIH opeening, claiming that salary is commensurate with the new
NIH scale http://www.training.nih.gov/resources/stipends/postdoc_irta, which is much higher than the old scale http://www.alternativescicareers.com/career-resource-center/nih-salary-guidelines.
My questions are:
1. What IRTA in the new scale tale means? what is "Discretionary for Montana
"?
2. Do most universities currently employ the new scale or still use the old
one? any hope to increase the postdoc salary with the new scale?
Can we talk about it? thanks

不知道你这是不是NIH自己博后工资标准
那个跟NIH对别人的指导工资标准是不一样的
NIH自己人的工资高，对外的指导工资低
就是这样，很多地方也不遵守NIH的指导工资
更别提很多博后没有涨工资一说

这个新的标准是从NIH最近发的一个招postdoc的广告上看来的，如果大部分大学遵守这
个SCALE，大家可以跟老板argue工资的事。
