postdoc under an university
vs
research scientist in an institute
which one is easier to publish paper?
postdoc is guided only by a professor
but the research scientist should service the whole institute,
provide them data analysis, data visulization.
if publishing a paper, it should have a lot of co-author.

第一个取决于谁是你老板；
第二个你基本没有机会发1st-author papers.

postdoc : depending on your project and group --- if you join a group with a
paper pipeline, it is easy to get 5 good first author papers out of 3 years
otherwise 2 papers in 2 years is moderate
for resarch institute, you will have alot of co-author pape- say 15 out of
2 years, but maybe none of it is your first author paper

also depends on what kind of service your provide, how the institution was
set up. You might have nothing (in terms of paper) out of 3-5 years if it's
a fee for service set up.
