Usage: Personal development machine for .NET Stack, VMWare for Mac OS, Linux

I am still debating between T450 & T450s over max memory and display
resolution.
Here is the one I got at Lenovo outlet

14 inch 1600x900 (non IPS)
i5-5300u
256GB SSD
8GB RAM
Backlit keyboard
Fingerprint reader
Would really love to have 1920x1080 IPS display but it is not available on
T450.(T450s has 1080p but max memory is 12GB)
Would love to have a more powerful CPU but it is hard to catch one at outlet
Will max the memory to 16GB
Will probably upgrade SSD to 500GB (Is there a space to add 2nd SSD?)
Is the hardware good enough for intended usage?
What do you think about its price and the upgrade plan?
