歐巴馬總統9日公布2017年「青年科學家與工程師總統獎」(Presidential Early
Career Award for Scientists and Engineers，簡稱PECASE)名單，這項由美國政府授
與獨立研究青年科學家及工程師的最高榮譽，今年102位獲獎者中華裔占八人。
歐巴馬總統說：「我為這些傑出科學家及工程師具影響力的成果表達恭賀之意。這些創
新者致力幫助美國走在最前線，也顯示聯邦政府在科學上的投資，有助於拓展我們對周
遭世界的認識，並對經濟帶來貢獻。」
今年有八位華裔獲得該殊榮，分別是史丹佛大學(Stanford Univeristy)奈米光子學實
驗室的強納森‧范(Jonathan Fan，音譯)、加州理工學院(Cal Tech)物理系助理
教授謝漢強(David Hsieh)、哥倫比亞大學病理及細胞生物學助理教授哈里斯‧王
(Harris Wang，音譯)、萊斯大學(Rice University)物理與天文學助理教授李偉(Wei
Li，音譯)、爾灣加大化學系助理教授楊又芳(Jenny Yang)、塔芙茨大學(Tufts
University)分子生物與微生物學助理教授沈艾米(Aimee Shenc，音譯)、德州大學生物
醫學信息學助理教授陶翠(Cui Tao，音譯)、國家地理空間情報局(National
Geospatial Intelligence Agency)研究員詹姆斯‧康(James Kang)。
「青年科學家與工程師總統獎」是美國總統柯林頓於1996年設立的獎項，頒發給獲聯邦
經費補助，在各科學工程領域中從事研究的大學教授或實驗室研究員，獎勵他們在研究
事業初期即展示卓越能力與潛質。
今年獲獎的102名科研人才來自美國聯邦政府13個部門，由農業部、商務部、國防部、
教育部、能源部、衛生福利部、內政部、退伍軍人事務部、環境保護署、美國太空總署
、國家科學基金會、史密森尼學會及情治單位聘雇或資助。

我的理解，你的case nc已经过了，但是还没有prejudicate给IO。如果要是being
reviewed by an officer就完美了。

看来service request的内容还是不一样，
我的是：
Your case is currently under review by an officer. you should receive a
decision, correspondence or notice of other action within 60 dayso f the
date of this letter.

Are you Eb2 to EB3? Do you mind sharing your RD and I-140 AD? My case was
assigned to an IO nearly 2 weeks ago and I haven't received any update yet.
My RD is 1/8/2014 and I-140 AD 3/25/2014. I wonder if the I-140 AD affects
how soon the IO will pick up the case once it is assigned or if it only
affects when the case will be assigned . Thanks.
