昨晚一时没有睡着，觉得口渴，起床去取水杯。不想点着灯，迷迷糊糊中觉得忽然的明
亮会让自己一下子精神起来。
手刚伸出去，就听见怕的一声闷响，我立刻精神了，知道又打翻水杯了。继续装作迷迷
糊糊已经没有任何意义，我知道，再过几秒书桌上的书该全湿了。。。立刻开灯拿纸巾
，还好，主要的几本书都是硬皮的，而且水杯里只有1/3的水。。
第二次这样悲惨的黑夜故事了。
生活需要个带盖子的水杯了，可是在家，觉得这样喝水的程序多了一道工序，感觉麻烦
。。但看看那些被水泡过的paper，麻烦点看来也要做了。。。

Hi, friends, I have a very urgent problem about mysql binlog latency, and
any help is greatly appreciated!
Here is my scenario:
We use ec2 instance running https://github.com/shyiko/mysql-binlog-connector
-java to read binlogs from an aws rds mysql master (which is row based
replication and bandwidth and throughput are not an issue).The number of
binlogs is around 1k per second. The P99 network IO is about 50ms and the
P99 time between 2 IOs is about 90 ~ 100ms.
However, when we extract the timestamp in the binlog event and calculate the
difference between the current time and the timestamp, the P99 is about 4
seconds. We are hoping to make it only several hundred ms. Further
investigatiosn indicate that the difference between the timestamp and the
corresponding start time of network IO reading from mysql master is
responsible for most of the latency. And we are quite sure that we are
processing much faster than the pace of mysql generating binlogs, so each
time we read all the binlogs available there when it's stable.
So, the question is that is this latency caused by some bad settings in
mysql? Or by the mysql connector? Thanks a lot.

觉得会计入门比较容易，工作更好找。但是工作比较枯燥，上升空间不大。
finance 如果一般理科背景的，能学懂么？需要多少数学和编程的基础啊？
本人小菜一枚，想转行，听听大家意见。

finance的范围挺广的,是否需要很深的数学和编程能力还要看具体的工作内容.了解其
他的学科(理科)当然会有帮助.
转行还是慎重考虑,找做这行的朋友,熟人好好聊聊.

会计还是收入好吧，作public，当了合伙人就有钱了，当不了也有雷打不动的活儿干，
收入不用发愁。
做industry很轻松，做IA更轻松=.=就算你觉得性质不怎么样，SEC还不是每年都来找。
金融么，能不能升得上去，跟你会不会编程一点关系也没有。你要是对市场有兴趣，喜
欢和人拉关系，就可以看看分支中喜欢做什么。找朋友谈天多了解一下，感觉你不是很
了解实际的工作内容。

谢谢建议。我想可能会申请明年的会计专业吧，也是考虑到转行是不是划算的问题。化
学的小硕，不是很喜欢现在的工作，
想以后找坐office又不是太累的工作，顺便学点知识帮助自己理理财投投资啥的，呵呵。

r u sure? accounting is tough to find a job for the last two years, esp. for
international students. and pay is not good either, unless u r damn good.
many, if not most of them can't land a job and end up going home. after two
years? maybe better...to be a partner at a auditing firm? most Chinese can
forget about it.

谢谢提醒，我完全不了解这个行业现在的就业，总是听说会计很好找工作。而且自己很
想学习一下经济金融方面的知识，我
的专业是化学，对经济类的一点都不懂，也不会理财投资，听说会计做的好也能做到比
较上层，而且很有技术含量？看您的
回帖估计达到这个高度很困难。
现在我也迷茫了，接着在现在的工作上继续下去，不要转行？
还有如果今后可能回国发展的话，美国的会计是不是会不适应中国环境呢？
